what
Kiwi Mariakiwiria on September 2nd, 2006 09:31 pm (UTC)
Well, the people at atheism are calling you at best "blissfully ignorant" and at worst a troll, so I'd say you didn't get them. They just hadn't had time to respond yet, by the time you wrote here.

Besides, while I agree that with a nature so splendid, there has to be a God to create it, it's an argument that lacks proofs, so few atheists are going to accept it.

ok well sorri kiwi i didn't understand what you meant. but they are basicially saying to that is: "well if God can create it, then he must be splendid too. But with a God so splendid, there has to be something to create him as well."

kiwi just give me something 2 argue back against this one. I know we Christians have a reply somewhere in our Holy arsenal.

Once somebody has consciously decided not to believe, it's usually pointless to try to convince them over the internet. It has to be done in person, by *living* the life of a Christian, not *telling* them what the life of a Christian should be.

Follow the word of Christ, shake their dust off your clothes and walk away. While I agree that we should share the Gospel with others, atheism is not the place to do it.

well kiwi i guess i have to ask tho: i think things are beutiful and, therefore, need explanations for their existence. but i also think god is a beutiful thing. so doesnt it therefore follow that i need an explanation for his existence?

pls help me kiwi i dont know what to do. i want so bad 2 not think, and i try so hard 2 not think, but sumtimes i just cant help myself.
Kiwi Mariakiwiria on September 3rd, 2006 10:46 am (UTC)
I'm sorry, I can't help you there. For me God is the reason for His own existance. It's His name: Jahve=I am.

Not "I was created, therefore I am" or "I think, therefore I am", but simply "I am".

but don't amazing things, such as living organsms and the earth, require an explaination of origin? isnt that the sole basis of our reverence to creationism ? if we demand so much origin explaination for wonderful and complex entities--God, not withstanding--what does that say about our view of God Himself?

Do not give what is holy to the dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces (Matthew 7:6)
